Warranty & Product Grading Guide

Last updated: July 2026

We want you to know exactly what you are buying. This guide explains how we grade our appliances and stock, and the warranty that applies to each type of purchase.

Our grading system

  • New / Boxed — Brand new, unused stock in its original packaging.
  • Graded A — As-new condition with little to no cosmetic marking. Fully tested and working.
  • Graded B — Light cosmetic marks such as minor scratches or scuffs that do not affect use. Fully tested and working.
  • Graded C — More noticeable cosmetic marks such as dents or scratches, offered at a lower price. Fully tested and working.
  • Ex-display — Previously displayed in a showroom. May show light handling marks but is otherwise complete and working.
  • Customer Return — Returned by a previous customer, then inspected and tested by us. Condition is described per item.
  • Clearance / As-seen — Wholesale pallets, truckloads and mixed lots sold to trade buyers for resale, supplied as described in the manifest.

Testing

Retail appliances sold through our Appliance Outlet are function-tested before sale. Any known cosmetic marks are described and reflected in the price, so a described mark is not treated as a fault.

Warranty on outlet appliances

Graded, ex-display and customer-return appliances bought for home use carry a minimum 3-month parts and labour warranty from the date of delivery or collection, unless a longer period is stated on the product. New/boxed appliances may carry a longer warranty as noted at the point of sale. This is in addition to your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

What the warranty covers

The warranty covers functional faults that were not present or described at the time of sale. It does not cover the cosmetic marks described at purchase, damage caused by misuse, incorrect installation, accidental damage, or normal wear of consumable parts.

Wholesale and trade lots

Pallets, truckloads and mixed surplus lots are sold “as seen” for resale and do not carry a warranty unless expressly agreed in writing. Manifests are provided as a good-faith indication of the contents and grade mix.
